Ravi Chirovolu

Ravi Chiruvolu is President Industry Solutions responsible for all sales and business/corporate development activity for the Noribachi Group.   Prior, Ravi was the Managing General Partner for a $400m venture fund, Charter Ventures, and a General Partner at Alta Partners, a $500m fund.   Since 1998, Ravi served on the board of over twenty-five companies, with his funds investing in several 10x+ exits including: Interwoven, Gethere, Puma Technologies, Intermune, and Ask Jeeves.

Ravi held operating positions at Motorola, Ameritech (nominated for Chairman’s Award – top 10 of 60,000 employees), Peapod, and NASA Goddard and Johnson Flight Centers. He began his career at McKinsey & Company in Washington DC, where he helped corporations adapt to changing environmental regulations and technology discontinuities.

Ravi is a thought leader in assessing/deploying new technologies, speaking at numerous industry conferences and writing over twenty-five monthly columns for the Venture Capital Journal. He holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (Robotics/Control Systems with minor in economics), a MBA from the Harvard Business School, and is a First Lieutenant (Ret) in the United States Army, Ordinance Corps.

Ravi is a sports enthusiast, especially with respect to tennis, soccer, and football, and is an aspiring scratch golfer (more aspiring than scratch).  His most significant accomplishment is coaching his 8 year-old daughter’s basketball team to a winning record.   He resides in Los Altos Hills, CA with his wife and two kids.
